conditional surrender of Jn and Margt his wife to Hen Hatch | and afterwards into the same said court and with the court sitting came the aforesaid Jn Ludgater and Margt his wife and Margt herself by the steward solely and secretly examined as is the custom and consenting the aforesaid Jn and Margt surrendered to the hands of the lord by the hands of the aforesaid steward the two crofts of land containing by estimation 4a called Haynes and Clotes and the aforesaid other 4a of land called also Haynes and Clotes with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Hen Hatch of Earls Colne butcher his heirs and assigns forever upon the condition that if the aforesaid Jn and Margt or either of them their heirs executors or assigns or any of them should pay or cause to be paid to the aforesaid Hen his executors or administrators in or at the now dwelling house of the said Hen in the aforesaid Earls Colne 3li upon 2.8.1662 and 3li 3.8.1663 and 53li 4.8.1664 that then the aforesaid surrender should be void and of no force in law |
