payment of 100li by Ralph Josselin to Jn Church | whereas at a court here held 24.7.1650 Ralph Josselin was admitted tenant of the lord for himself and his heirs by the surrender of Mary Church to the remainder of one field then divided into two parts called Tenn Acres and two other parcels of land called Readings and one croft of land called Stonebridge Croft when they should occur after the death of Rose Church mother of the said Mary upon the condition that the aforesaid Ralph Josselin his heirs executors administrators or assigns should pay to Jn Church son of Jn Church gentleman deceased within four years after the death of the said Rose 100li of legal money of England as by the aforesaid court roll it plainly appears now at this court it was presented by the homage that the aforesaid Rose in the .12.1658 died and that Ralph afterwards viz 1.2.1659 paid to the aforesaid Jn Church the son the aforesaid 100li according to the aforesaid condition as by a certain writing under the hand and seal of the said Jn signed and sealed bearing the date 1.2.1659 and thus in court it was produced and plainly appeared |
