also at this court found that Joseph Bott died since the last court seised of a messuage or tenement now converted into two tenements in the tenure of Wm Cater and Solomon Carter held by the annual rent of 8d and that before his death on 4.10.last he surrendered by the hands of Isaac Potter instead of the bailiff and in the presence of Jn Newton and Jn Harrington all his copyhold and customary messuages held of the manor etc to such uses as in his last will etc and that by his will dated 27.9.last he devised as followeth item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah Bott and to her heirs forever all those my two tenements situate on Colford Hill in Colne aforesaid and now in the tenure or occupation of Wm Cater and Solomon Carter or their assigns with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging whereupon came the said Sarah and was admitted etc to hold by the annual rent of 8d and she gave fine etc and because the said Sarah is an infant of the age of 15yrs or thereabouts therefore her brother Joseph Bott was admitted her guardian he rendering an account of the rents and profits of the tenements when she shall be of full age
