(top missing) and the heirs of the said Jn and Helen to one cottage with garden adjoining with their appurtenances called Cocks sometime Jn Ridnal deceased as by this court roll examined here in court and legally pledged fully and shown in court now at this court it is presented by the said homage that the said Jn Griggs after the last court and before this court surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Jn Reade instead of the bailiff in the presence of Robt Crowe and Wm Catt two customary tenants of this manor the same testifying the same said cottage with garden and all his other appurtenances thereunto belonging to the use and behoof of Robt Reade and his heirs forever who the same said Robt Reade present here in court sought admittance to the said premises the lord by his said steward granted and delivered seisin thereof to have to himself and his heirs to hold by the rod from the lord at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine as is in the margin     and he made fealty to the lord and was admitted tenant thereof and afterwards the court sitting came Robt Reade in person and surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of his said steward the cottage and the said premises with their appurtenances to the use and behoof of Randal Greene and Kath his wife during their lifetimes and to the longer liver and after their decease to Ann Jane and Grace daughters of the said Randal and to their heirs forever who the same said Randal Kath Ann Jane and Grace present here in court sought admittance to the premises according to the surrender as stated above to whom the lord by his said steward granted to them seisin thereof to have to the said Randal and Kath during their lifetimes and to the longer liver and after their decease to the said Ann Jane and Grace and their heirs forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and they gave to the lord their fine as is stated in the margin     and they were admitted tenants thereof and the said Randal and Kath made fealty to the lord however the fealty of the said Ann Jane and Grace was respited until they should be in possession
