was admitted tenant of the lord for himself and his heirs by the surrender of

to one cottage with garden adjoining called
Littmans
with appurtenances as by copy of a certain court roll seen here in court and legally and fully produced and shown in court now at this court it is shown by the homage that the said
Robt Pearetree
after the last court and before this court surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of
Robt Cobb
instead of the bailiff in the presence of
Thos Turner
and
Robt Crowe
two customary tenants of this manor the same testifying the said cottage and garden with their appurtenances to the use and behoof of
Jn Woodwarde
and his heirs forever who the same said
Jn Woodwarde
present here in court sought admittance for himself to the premises to whom the lord by his said steward granted to him seisin thereof to have to himself and his heirs to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine as stated in the margin and made fealty to the lord and was admitted tenant thereof
