whereas at a court here held friday being the 29..29Eliz1 Robt Crowe was admitted tenant for his lifetime to one cottage or customary tenement with appurtenances lately built upon the lords waste which certain waste contains 20p of land lying next to Colne Park viz between the kings highway there on the east and the lords park on the west the other head thereof abutting upon the kings highway now at this court it is shown by the homage that out of this court and after the last court the said Robt Crowe surrendered the said parcel of waste with a cottage thereon built into the hands of the lord by the hands of Robt Cobbe instead of the bailiff in the presence of Randolph Greene and Jas Pennocke customary tenants of the lord the same testifying according to the custom of the said manor to the use and behoof of Wm Nicholson also Lannce and his assigns for and during the term of the natural life of the said Robt Crowe to whom the lord by his said steward granted thereof seisin to have to the same Wm Nicholson also Lannce and his assigns for and during the whole term of the natural life of the said Robt Crowe to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine as is shown in the margin     and he made fealty to the lord and was admitted thereof tenant of the lord and afterwards the court sitting came the said Wm Nicholson also Lannce and in full and open court surrendered the said parcel of land and the cottage or tenement with appurtenances into the hands of the lord by the hands of his said steward to the use and behoof of Jn Humfrie and his assigns for and during the whole term of the natural life of the said Robt Crowe to whom the same Jn Humfrie present here in court the lord by his steward granted thereof seisin to the same Jn Humfry and his assigns during the whole term of the natural life of the said Robt Crowe to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine as is shown in the margin etc     and he made fealty to the lord and was admitted thereof tenant of the lord
