it is shown by the said homage that Barth Church gentleman who lately held for himself and his heirs from the lord of this manor as of the same said manor by copy of a roll of court one customary tenement called The Stable with the Cowhouse and one tenement built with a garden parcel of a tenement sometime of Thos Prince with a way late parcel of Barcroft leading towards the said Barcroft and one parcel of land called Dovehouse Field lying and being in the said Earls Colne and one croft of land with appurtenances called Pondcroft 1r of land parcel of Barcroft and 1a of land late parcel of the said Barcroft late enclosed and also 10a of customary land with appurtenances parcel of Lowfield promised to himself and his heirs upon the death of Rose Church widow mother of the aforesaid Barth as by roll of the same said court clearly shown to the said homage of this manor in the same court the aforesaid Barth himself thus as pronounced was seised of the said customary tenements and lands in the month of .4.1623 by committing murder upon a man and upon this he fled upon which by the inquest of the coroner of the county of Suffolk the aforesaid Barth was shown guilty of the crime of murder on account of which certain offence he is now attainted outlaw at the suit of our lord the king by reason of the same said crime of murder and the said customary lands and tenements are forfeited to the lord of this manor by way of escheat therefore now there is a precept to the bailiff of the said manor to seize all and singular the lands and customary tenements into the hands of the lord etc and of the rents etc and of the accounts etc and also that at the next court to be held for the said manor it should be shown by what right the said precept should be executed etc
