whereas at a view with court here held wednesday being 4.6.1628 it was presented by the homage that Jn Potter who held for himself and his heirs by copy of court roll one parcel of land called Dovehouse Field surrendered the said parcel of land among others to the use of his last will as by copy of a roll of the said court clearly shown and whereas at a court here held 6.8.1628 as stated above it was presented by the homage that the said Jn died after the last court and before this court seised thereof now to this court came Jeff Potter brother of the said Jn and Ann wife of the said Jeff and showed here in court testimonial letters of the said Jn Potter under seal of the ordinary for this area bearing the date 12.6.1628 the tenor of which concerning the premises in the following words item I do give unto my brother Jeff Potter and Ann his wife my copyhold land called Dovehouse Field which lately I purchased from mr Jn Church for the term of their lives and the longer liver of them and the said Jeff and Ann sought admittance according to the surrender and said last will to whom the same said Jeff and Ann the lord by the steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have the aforesaid parcel of land called Dovehouse Field to the said Jeff and Ann for their lifetimes and the longer liver to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and they gave to the lord their fine etc and made fealty to the lord and were admitted thereof tenants of the lord
