and furthermore at this court it is shown by the homage that Jas Mann who held to himself and his heirs one customary cottage called Sebrights with appurtenances according as it is clearly shown by the court roll dated 20.7.1631 after the last general court and before this court viz 9.12.1636 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Wm Cosin instead of the bailiff in the presence of Dan Lea and Wm Bricke two customary tenants of the said manor according the customs of the said manor the said cottage and other premises with appurtenances to the use of Ann Burton wife of Sam Burton senior for her lifetime and after her death to the use of Wm Burton son of the said Sam and Ann and the heirs and assigns of the said Wm forever whereupon the said Ann and Wm came here into court and humbly sought admittance to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have the said cottage with appurtenances to the said Ann and her assigns for the lifetime of the said Ann and after her death the remainder thereof to the said Wm and his heirs forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the customs of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and they gave to the lord their fine and the said Sam and Ann made fealty etc
