Boomes | and furthermore at this court it is shown by the homage that Rich Walker who held for himself and his heirs one messuage or rentery with yard and garden pertaining as is shown by copy of court roll bearing the date 20.1.1636 after the last court viz 15.3.1641 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Robt Lea instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Reade and Jn Smith two customary tenants of the said manor the said messuage or rentery and other premises with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Letitia Browne wife of Edw Browne of Earls Colne or the heirs and assigns of the said Letitia Browne forever who present in court humbly sought admittance to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said messuage or rentery and other premises with appurtenances to the said Letitia her heirs and assigns forever from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and she gave to the lord her fine etc |
