and furthermore whereas at a court held for the said manor 15.1.1650 Thos Richold and Jane his wife and Beatrix Durden now the wife of Hen Field the younger were admitted tenants to them and their heirs as daughters and coheirs to Jane Durden to the fourth part of a meadow with the appurtenances called Pakes Gate Meade now at this court it was presented by the homage that the said Thos Richold and Jane his wife since the last court that is to say upon 9.9.1650 did out of court come before the said Jn Joscelyn steward of the said manor and the said Jane being by the said steward solely and secretly examined and consenting did surrender into the hands of the lord of the said manor by the hands of the said steward according to the custom of the said manor all their moiety part and purparty of the said fourth part of the said meadow with the appurtenances to the use of such person and persons as for such estate and estates as Geo Cressner of Earls Colne gentleman or his heirs shall nominate limit and appoint and until such nomination limitation and appointment to the use of the said Geo Cressner and his heirs
