whereas at a court held for the said manor 30.12.1651 it was presented by the homage that Eliz the wife of Jn Stephens who held to her and her heirs one parcel of land with a cottage upon the same built late parcel of Pannels died thereof so seised and that Jn Stephens the younger was her son and heir now at this court the said Jn Stephens the son by the said Jn Stephens his father as his attorney did come and humbly prayed to be admitted tenant to the same to whom by the hands of his said attorney the lord of this manor by his said steward did grant and deliver thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said premises to the said Jn Stephens the son his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents and services due and he gave to the lord for a fine
