whereas at a court held for the said manor 30.12.1651 it was presented by the homage that Hen Aymes since the then last court that is to say upon 21.9.1650 did surrender into the hands of the lord of the said manor by the hands of Jn Brewer in place of the bailiff and in the presence of Wm Adams and Walt Pease two customary tenants of the said manor all that his parcel of customary land with a cottage thereupon built late parcel of Pannels to the use of Geo Hunwicke his heirs and assigns upon condition that the said Geo his heirs executors or assigns shall pay to the said Hen his executors or assigns 12li of lawful money of England in the manner following that is to say 20s yearly at the feast of the annunciation and michaelmas by equal portions until the said 12li be paid the first payment thereof to begin at the annunciation then next ensuing now at this court the said Geo did come and humbly prayed to be admitted tenant to the same to whom the lord of the said manor by his said steward did grant and deliver thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said premises to the said Geo his heirs and assigns upon the condition aforesaid of the lord of the said manor by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs due and he gave to the lord for a fine and did his fealty
