at this court it was presented by the homage that Wm Death since the last court that is to say upon 26.1.last did surrender into the hands of the lord of the said manor by the hands of Nich Hurrell in place of the bailiff and in the presence of Edw Elliston gentleman and Hen Abbott two customary tenants of the said manor all those seven crofts of land called Michells with the appurtenances to the use of his last will and afterwards and before this court died thereof seised but because after proclamation made according to the custom of the said manor none came to be admitted tenant to the same a precept was directed to the bailiff to seize the same into the lord's hands etc
