Agnes Spooner

Edw Spooner
junior were admitted tenants of the lord viz the said
Agnes
for her lifetime the remainder thereof to the said

his heirs and assigns to 10a of land more or less parcel of
Lowfield
according as by hedges and ditches they are divided from about 6a of land parcel of the said
Lowfield
now at this court it was presented by the homage that the said
Agnes
before this court died and that afterwards and before the last court viz

Edw Spooner
surrendered i nto the hands of the lord by the hands of
Jn Meriton
gentleman instead of the bailiff and in the presence of
Ralph Josselin
and
Wm Adams
senior two customary tenants of the said manor the same testifying etc the said 10a of land more or less now divided into three closes with the messuage and garden thereon lately built with appurtenances to the use and behoof of
Mary Brand
widow her heirs and assigns forever according to the tenor of the last will and testament of the said
Edw
bearing the date
20.5.1663
as said above
and that afterwards and before this court the said
Edw
died and upon this the said
Mary
present in court humbly sought admittance as tenant of the lord of the premises to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin thereof by the rod to have and to hold the said messuage garden and about 10a of land with appurtenances to the said
Mary Brand
her heirs and assigns forever from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and she gave to the lord her fine etc
