at this court it was shown by the homage that Thos Bullocke who by copy of court roll bearing the date 19.10.1659 held for himself and his heirs one customary tenement and garden with appurtenances called Rushpitts after the last court viz 22.4.1668 surrendered into the hands of the lord of the said manor by the hands of Thos Walford instead of the bailiff and in the presence of Geo Cressner gentleman and Barth Clerke two customary tenants of the said manor the same testifying etc the said tenement and garden with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Jn Bullocke of Earls Colne husbandman his heirs and assigns forever to whom the same said Jn Bullocke present here in court and seeking this the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin thereof by the rod to have and to hold the said premises with appurtenances to the said Jn Bullocke his heirs and assigns forever from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine etc
