at this court it appeared to the homage that Edw Browne who held to him and his heirs by copy of court roll dated 12.7.16Chas2 one messuage with a yard garden and orchard belonging to the said messuage and two parcels of land and one grove called Bettsland or any other name after the last court on 4.4.last out of court surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Sam Burton instead of the bailiff in the presence of Robt Harris and Jn Clarke two customary tenants etc the said messuage and lands aforesaid to the use of Wm Davy his heirs and assigns forever which said Wm present here in court humbly petitioned admittance etc to whom the steward delivered seisin to have and to hold the messuage aforesaid to the said Wm Davy his heirs and assigns of the lord etc and he gave the lord for fine etc
