at court 16.10.1673 Rich Hatch was admitted to a parcel of customary land called Dovehouse Field and also to another parcel called Pondcroft containing by estimation 14a and at a court held 8.10.1678 it appeared that he surrendered all his customary lands to the use of his will and has since died now at this court came Robt Potter and showed the will the tenor concerning the premises in the following words I give and bequeath my copyhold land called Dovehouse and Pondfield to my son in law Robt Potter and Susanna his wife my daughter and the survivor of them during their natural lives and after their deceases to Rich Potter second son of the said Robt and Susanna his wife and to his heirs and assigns forever upon condition that the said Rich his heirs and assigns shall pay unto his sister Eliz 20li of lawful english money within two years immediately following the decease of his father and mother and upon condition that the said Rich shall pay to his sister Margt the like sum of 20li within four years after the decease of his said father and mother and upon the condition that he the said Rich shall pay to his sister Mary the like sum of 20li within five years after the decease of his said father and mother upon which the said Robt Potter and Susanna his wife were admitted etc and gave part of the fine and the residue was respited until the death etc and fealty by the grace of the lord was respited
