Gooldsgate and Wallfield at a court held 6.11.1679 Thos Linnett was admitted to one messuage or tenement called Goulds alias Goldgate and five parcels of land containing by estimation 15a now at this court it appeared that on 11.1.1683 he surrendered by the hands of Jn Keable instead of the bailiff in the presence of Robt Potter and Rich Appleton two customary tenants etc the said messuage and lands in Earls Colne and now in the tenure or occupation of Salmon Stevens or his assigns to the use of Hen Hatch senior of Earls Colne who is admitted and gave fine and fealty was respited
