also it is found by homage that Jos Bott a customary tenant of the manor died since last court seised of a messuage or tenement near the White Lion called Brayes in tenure of Jn Vince or assigns held by annual rent 1s and before his death to wit 4.10.last he surrendered into hands of lords by hands of Isaac Potter in place of the bailiff in presence of Jn Newton and Jn Harrington two customary tenants of manor etc all his copyhold messuages lands tenements and appurtenances held by copy of court roll to such uses as will be declared in his last will in writing and by his will dated 27.9.last he devised as follows imprimis I give and bequeath unto Kath my loving wife and to her heirs forever all that my messuage or tenement situate in Earls Colne aforesaid near to sign of the White Lion in tenure or occupation of Jn Vince or his assigns and all the appurtenances thereunto belonging whereupon the said Kath comes etc admitted tenant to said premises called Brayes etc by annual rent of 1s etc
