Earls Colne Roger Deynes prior of Colne | whereas at a court with view here held on the tuesday in pentecost week 17.5.8Hen4 Jn Gosse now Roger Deynes (inserted) surrendered into the hands of the lady one messuage lying in the market place of Colne sometime of Robt Gosse between a tenement of Roger Bovyle and Thos Prodeman to the use of Jn Bampton and Wm Omond etc therefore it is presented to seize the tenement and land into the hands of the lady until etc and to return to the lady of the profits etc item it is presented to seize into the hands of the lady one plot of land containing 46ft in length and 36ft in breadth lying between Rich Heyward's and abutting to a tenement of the said Jn Gosse which Thos Prodeman purchased of the aforesaid Jn Gosse until etc and to return to the lady etc item it was shown by the oath of Thos Hunt and others that Firmin Schropham was unjustly implead by Robt Mathew in the court of the prior of Colne for a certain lane called Okehouslane by saying against the said Firmin that the same said lane was within the demesne of the said prior which by right they say that the same said lane is within this demesne and not within the demesne of the priory therefore the aforesaid Mathew in mercy as shown in a court roll on the tuesday in the feast of st lucy the virgin 13.12.9Hen4 |
