fine 16d | to the same said court came Jn Payn and Thos Clerk present in court and surrendered into the hands of the lord two tenements in Colne viz one tenement called Smythouse with appurtenances lying and situate between lands of the said Thos Clerk on one part and a tenement of Wm Fraunceys on the other part one head thereof abutting upon the king's highway and the other head upon Lowefeld and the other tenement sometime called Stevens lying between a tenement of Grenes on one part and a tenement of Paycoks on the other part one head thereof abutting upon the king's highway and the other head upon Lowfeld for the lord to do thereof at his will and the lord thus seised at the same said court out of his special grace regranted the aforesaid two tenements with their appurtenances to the aforesaid Jn Payne Thos Clerk and Wm Skot to whom freely there is seisin thereof to have and to hold to the same said Jn Thos and Wm their heirs and assigns forever by the rod at the will of the lord by the ancient services and customs saving the right etc and they gave for a fine etc and made fealty etc |
