fine 12d it is found by the homage that Thos Brette alias Porter who had estate jointly with Alice late his wife deceased to them and their heirs according to the custom of the manor 1a of land customary with the appurtenances or more or less etc lying in Longland sometime parcel of the tenement called Cowleys the foresaid Thos died of and in the foresaid land sole seised in his demesne as of fee according to the custom of the manor and they say further that Mary the wife of Jn Freeman is the sister of the foresaid Thos Brette and the next heir of the said Thos herein and of full age which Mary together with the said Jn Freeman her husband came and craved herself to be admitted and because it is so found by the homage therefore she is admitted the lord's tenant to hold to her and her heirs of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor and she giveth the lord for fine etc and the said Jn Freeman and Mary made fealty to the lord
