fine 20sit is found by the homage that Rich Rolte out of the court and since the last court surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Robt Reade and Jn Sparrowe the elder the lord's tenants the same witnessing one croft of customary land called Litlebredgmans of old time enclosed in one croft and now enclosed in two crofts as by the meets and bounds etc to the use and behoof of Jn Barret his heirs and assigns on condition that if the foresaid Rich Rolte his heirs executors or administrators pay or cause to be paid or the one of them pay or cause to be paid to the aforesaid Jn Barret or to his certain attorney or his executor or administrator at the now dwelling house of the foresaid Jn Barret situate and lying in Earls Colne aforesaid 10li of good and lawful money of England at of before the feast of all saints 1.11.next coming after the date of this court that this present surrender and seisin thereof delivered shall be void and of no force in the law or otherwise shall be in his full force and effect whereupon to this court came the foresaid Jn Barret and according to the surrender aforesaid prayed to be admitted thereto to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns on the condition aforesaid of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor and he made fine and fealty and is admitted the lord's tenant
