fine 20sit is found by the homage that Thos Manocke gentleman that held to him and his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod etc the reversion or remainder of four crofts of customary land when it shall happen by and after the death of Ann Ashefield widow as in the court roll here holden on tuesday in the week of pentecost 27.5.3Eliz1 more at large appears died since the last court and before his death lying very sick surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Robt Reade instead of the bailiff in the presence of Robt Peerson and Jn Barret the lord's customary tenants and other the same witnessing all the reversion or remainder of and in the foresaid four crofts of land called Michells with the appurtenances to the use and intent as in these english words following is contained to the use of Dionise his wife during her natural life and the remainder thereof to his four sons and either of them to be another's heirs whereupon to this court came the foresaid Dionise the wife of the foresaid Thos and Edm Antho Thos and Edw Mannocke the four sons of the foresaid Thos Mannock deceased and humbly crave to be admitted to the reversion and remainder of the foresaid four crofts of land with the appurtenances according to the form and effect of the surrender aforesaid to whom to the hands of the said Edm and Antho by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid reversion or remainder of the foresaid four crofts of land with the appurtenances wh en it shall happen by and after the death of the said Ann Ashefield to the said Dionise Mannocke late wife of Thos Mannocke deceased for and during the natural life of the said Dionise the remainder after the decease of the said Dionise and Ann Ashefield to the foresaid Edm Thos Antho and Edw Mannocke sons of the said Thos Mannocke deceased and the heirs of the said Edm son and heir of the father deceased according to the form and effect of the surrender aforesaid of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord etc and the foresaid Dionise Edm Thos Antho and Edw give fine for such their estates therein to be had as appears and the foresaid Antho to whom seisin thereof was delivered for the said Dionise Edm Thos and Edw made fealty as well for himself etc
