fine 13s4d whereas at the court here holden 19.6.12Eliz1 it was found by the homage that Jn Warde that held jointly with Rose his wife to them and the heirs of the said Jn of the lord by the rod etc one messuage with appurtenances called Shawes lying at Colford Hill as in the court roll here holden on tuesday in the week of pentecost 27.5.4Edw6 more at large appears out of the court lying on his death bed surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Rich Ennewes and Barth Church the lord's customary tenants in the presence of Hen Pullen likewise the lord's customary tenant the foresaid messuage and garden with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Rose Ward his wife for term of her life to remain after her decease to one Jn Ward one of the sons of the foresaid Jn Ward and his heirs but because the foresaid Rose held the premises jointly with Jn Ward her husband for term of her life as before appears therefore she was not then admitted to the premises by virtue of the surrender aforesaid now at this court it is found by the homage that the foresaid Rose Ward died since the last court of such estate sole seised and they say further that the foresaid Jn Ward the son is now alive whereupon to this court came the foresaid Jn Ward the son and humbly prayed to be admitted to the premises according to the form and effect of the surrender aforesaid to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered by the rod to hold to the same Jn his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod etc by the rents and services etc and he giveth fine etc and made fealty etc and is admitted the lord's tenant
