fine 20sit is found by the homage that Thos Smythe of White Colne out of the court and since the last court lying on his death bed surrendered into the lord's hands in the presence of Thos Man and Robt Carter the lord's customary tenants and other the same witnessing one customary messuage with a curtilage adjoining called Sebrights as it lieth in Colne aforesaid to the use and behoof of Eliz his wife for and during the term of the life of the said Eliz the remainder thereof after her decease to Thos Smythe the son of the foresaid Thos Smythe deceased and his heirs and assigns which said Eliz being present in the court came and prayed to be admitted thereunto and because it is so found by the homage therefore she is admitted the lord's tenant thereof to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to her and her assigns during the whole term of her natural life the remainder after her decease to the foresaid Thos Smythe his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the rents and services therefore before due and of right accustomed and she giveth fine and made fealty and is admitted the lord's tenant
