it is found by the homage that Jn Birde out of the court and since the last court surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Robt Reade instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Parker the elder Thos Leffingwell and Robt Rooks the lord's customary tenants and other the same witnessing one tenement customary with appurtenances lying and being in Colne aforesaid which sometime was in the tenure of Robt Stephens and late in the tenure of Wm Clerke now called Hovestevens as in the roll of the court here holden 13.3.10Eliz1 more plainly appears to the use and behoof of Jn Collen his heirs as assigns who being present in the court came and prayed himself to be admitted thereto and because it is so found by the homage therefore he is admitted the lord's tenant to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs as assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the rents and services etc and he giveth a fine and made fealty and so is admitted the lord's tenant thereof
