it is found by the homage that Jn Birde out of the court and since the last court surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Robt Reade instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Parker the elder Thos Leffingwell and Robt Rooks the lord's customary tenants and other the same witnessing four crofts of land called Michells with their appurtenances lying and being in Colne aforesaid as in the leet with the court here holden on thursday being 22.8.26Eliz1 more at large appeareth to the use and behoof of Jn Collen his heirs and assigns who being present in the court came and prayed himself to be admitted thereto to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the rents and services therefore before due and of right accustomed and he giveth fine etc and made fealty and so he is admitted the lord's tenant
