it appears to the homage that Nich Game who held to himself and his heirs of the lord by the rod etc one piece of land containing by estimation 18a more or less which was parcel of a piece of land called Bettingsland as shown by copy of court roll of this court held monday 21.6.10Eliz1 after the last court out of court lying on his death bed surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Jn Tracer instead of the bailiff in the presence of Robt Rookes and Wm Wade customary tenants of the manor witnessing to the work and use of Kath Game his wife for the term of her natural life and after her death to the use of the children of the aforesaid Nich then living at the time of the death of the said Eliz (Kath ) by equal portions between them divided which said Kath came now at this court and asked to be admitted tenant to all and singular the premises by form and effect of the surrender aforesaid and the lord by the steward delivered seisin to the said Kath for the term of her life to remain after as above of the lord by the rod of the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by rents and services owed and of right accustomed etc and she gave the lord a fine 20s and made fealty and was admitted
