it is presented by the homage that Lewis Jegon who held for the term of his life of the rod etc one parcel of customary land containing by estimation 8a now in the tenure or occupation of Dan Clerke once parcel belonging to land called Bettingsland lying in Earls Colne aforesaid viz between the other part of the said land called Bettingsland late Edw Wade's on the one part and lands of     Sevonds widow on the other part died and that the reversion of the premises and all appurtenances is to Jn Jegon son and heir of the said Lewis and his heirs which Jn now is living now at this court came the aforesaid Jn Jegon by Wm Jegon his attorney legitimately authorized and petitioned of the lord admittance to hold the said parcel of land with appurtenances etc and the claim and interest of the said Jn appears to the homage to be in full force therefore the lord of his special grace freely by the steward delivered seisin to the said Jn Jegon his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod of the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by rents and services or right owed and accustomed and gave the lord the fine     but the fealty of the said Jn is respited until he comes in his proper person and the foresaid Jn by his attorney is admitted
