it appears to the homage that Wm Bieston who held to himself and his heirs of the lord by the rod etc a tenement called the Stable with the Cowhouse and a tenement built with a garden parcel of a tenement once of Robt Mathew and afterwards of Thos Prince which said Stable and Cowhouse with garden adjoining are situate and lying between a tenement once Jn Bonjohn alias Turner and late of Robt Litman on one part and a parcel of land once parcel of Bearcroft on the other part with one way late parcel of Bearcroft leading across the said Bearcroft with ingress and egress to carry and chase etc as shown by copy of court roll here held tuesday 18.3.31Eliz after the last court and out of court he surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Hen Abbott (may be Hen Abbott) instead of the bailiff in the presence of Robt Reade and Hen Smith customary tenants witnessing the said tenement etc to the use of Jn Churche his heirs and assigns forever which said Jn Churche now at this court came and prayed to be admitted by the form and effect of the surrender which the lord by the steward delivered seisin to hold by the said Jn Church his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by rents and services due and of right accustomed and gave the lord a fine     and made fealty and was admitted tenant
