overseers of the poor with the consent of the justices whose names are subscribed have put and placed etc

a poor child of the said parish apprentice to
Wm Richardson
of St Peters Colchester with him to dwell from this date until the age of twenty four years aged now about 16yrs during which term he shall serve his master honestly etc and
Wm Richardson
covenants to teach and instruct him in the art and mystery of a weaver and shall keep him in food drink and apparel and keep the inhabitants of Earls Colne indemnified from any charges arising from the said apprentice and after the said term will supply him with two suits of apparel one for work days and one for holy days
