in the name of god amen the 21.7.1635 etc. I Francis Wright of Earls Colne in the county of Essex shoemaker being weak in body but of good and perfect remembrance thanks be given unto almighty god do make ordain and declare this my present last will and testament revoking all former wills whatsoever by me made in manner and form following that is to say first and principally I commend my soul into the hands of almighty god certainly believing by the only merit and sufferings of my lord and saviour jesus christ to have full remission of all my sins and eternal life and my body to be decently buried in christian sepulchre in assured hope of the resurrection of the same to everlasting life and as concerning that portion of worldly goods wherewith it hath pleased god of his goodness to endue me first I give and bequeath unto Edm Pease the son of Walt Pease my brass pot and the pot hooks and pot lid and my great cupboard or press now standing in the hall to be delivered unto him at the age of 21yr all the residue of my goods and chattels whatsoever and wheresoever my debts being paid and funeral expenses discharged I wholly give unto Grace my beloved wife whom I make and ordain my sole executrix to see this my last will and testament faithfully performed as my trust is in her in witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand and seal the day and year first above written sealed signed published and delivered in the presence of us Wm Cosin Elijah Corles Francis Wright
