in the name of god amen the 17.12.1635 etc I Jn Parker of Earls Colne in the county of Essex and diocese of London yeoman being in good and perfect mind and remembrance I do give god thanks therefore I do make ordain and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form as followeth and I do hereby utterly renounce and revoke all former will or wills by me hereunto made whatsoever first and principally I commend and bequeath my soul into the hands of almighty god the father the son and the holy ghost with assured faith and constant hope of eternal salvation and blessedness amongst all the elect and holy saints of god in and through the only merits and passion of jesus christ my only saviour and redeemer and my body to the earth from whence it was taken to be decently buried in christian sepulchre according to my degree and for that part and portion of worldly goods where with it hath pleased god out of his free favour and love to endue me withal item I give and bequeath unto Ann my wife all my messuages and tenements in Cogshall in the said county which Gregory Parker my brother deceased did by his last will and testament give to me and my heirs to have and to hold the same premises to the said Ann for the term of her natural life and after her decease I do give and bequeath all and singular the said premises and every part and parcel thereof to Jn Parker and Gamaliel Parker my two sons and to their heirs forever and I do give unto the said Jn Parker and Gamaliel Parker my two sons and to their heirs forever all my right title interest and reversion of and in all or any other tenement or tenements in Cogshall aforesaid whatsoever to be equally divided between them and I will that my son Gamaliel shall divide them and my son Jn shall chose item I give and bequeath unto Abigail Parker and Joan Parker the daughters of my son Robt Parker deceased my grandchildren the sum of 20s of good and lawful money of England apiece viz to either of them 20s to be paid unto them within one year next after my decease by mine executors being lawfully demanded item I give and bequeath to the said Ann my wife all my household stuff and all my corn and cattle whatsoever item I do give and bequeath unto Jn Parker and Gamaliel Parker the two sons of Edw Parker my son deceased my grandchildren the sum of 5li of good and lawful money of England apiece viz to Jn 5li and to Gamaliel 5li to be paid unto them at their several ages of 2 1yr by mine executors item I give and bequeath unto Abigail Coleman Ann Coleman and Frances Coleman the three daughters of Jn Coleman and Abigail his wife my daughter deceased my grandchildren 40s apiece of good and lawful money of England viz that is to say to Abigail 40s to Ann 40s and to Frances 40s as aforesaid to be paid unto them at their several ages of 21yr by mine executors item I give and bequeath unto Edith the wife of Edw Harris my daughter all that my freehold messuage or tenement in Earls Colne with the appurtenances wherein the said Edw now dwelleth for and during her natural life and after her decease I do give and bequeath the last foresaid messuage or tenement with all and singular the appurtenances to Jn Parker and Gamaliel Parker my two sons and to their heirs forever to be equally divided between them upon this condition that they Jn Parker and Gamaliel my two sons their heirs or assigns shall pay unto every one of the children of my said daughter Edith the sum of 3li of good and lawful money of England apiece within one year next after the decease of the said Edith if they shall be then of lawful age to receive the sum provided always that if any of the children of my said daughter Edith shall not be 21yr within one year after her death then I will that they shall receive the same at their several ages of 21yr as aforesaid all the rest of my goods whatsoever or wheresoever unbequeathed my debts being paid and my body decently buried and funeral expenses discharged I do give and bequeath unto Jn Parker and Gamaliel Parker my two sons whom I do make and ordain to be my only executors of this my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand and seal the day and year above written read sealed published and declared in the presence of us Wm Adams writer mark Simon Houlden witness mark Jn Bridge witness by me Jn Parker
