whereas Jn Fryitt of Coggeshall Magna in the county of Essex baker and Hannah Ludgater of the same town and county aforesaid propounded their intentions of marriage unto several meetings of the people of god called quakers in Halsted and in Coggeshall Magna and the meetings having inquiry concerning them and finding them clear and free from all other persons and nothing appearing to hinder their said intentions of marriage the said meetings gave their consent in the matter these are therefore to certify all whom it doth or may concern that for the full accomplishment of their said intentions the said Jn Fryitt and Hannah Ludgater did come into our public meeting place in Coggeshall aforesaid upon the 7.3.1686 and in a public assembly then and there met in our presence did signify their then taking each other in marriage pronouncing these words following with an audible voice viz the said Jn Fryitt taking the said Hannah by the hand said friends I Jn Fryitt take Hannah Ludgater to be my wife promising to be unto her a loving husband until the lord sep arate us by death then the said Hannah Ludgater taking the said Jn by the hand said friends I Hannah Ludgater take my friend Jn Fryitt to be my husband promising to be unto him a loving and tender wife until lord please to separate us by death and for the better confirmation of this their said marriage the parties above named hereunto subscribed their own names first and we who were present were witnesses that they were so married Jn Fryitt Hannah Fryitt Robt Ludgater sen Robt Ludgater jun Jn Ludgater Wm Ludgater Robt Adams Robt Yardley Robt Evens Jn Bayly Thos Stammers Thos Purcas Jonas Cockerton Robt Ludgater minor Eliz Evens Francis Clarke Ann Drywood Frances Clarke Wm Lundon Mary Purcas Ann Cooke Easter Jeeps Mary Barker Mary Ludgater sen Sarah Ludgater Mary Adams Mary Bayly Sarah Lawrance Eliz Lawrance Martha Guyon Martha Barker
