Essex inquisition indented at Earls Colne in the county aforesaid 13.6.15Chas1 before Thos Man gentleman one of the coroners for the lord king for the county aforesaid upon the view of the body of one Ann Ritchman now and since lying dead on the oath of Jas Pennocke Ambr Waller Jas Warde Edw Potter Jn Hatch Edw Newton Thos Ruggles Arth Fuller Sam Burton Barth Micklefeild Sam Pinchbacke Barnard Feverell lawful approved men of the county aforesaid jurors who are charged to enquire when of what nature and how the aforesaid Anna Ritchman came by her death said upon oath that the aforesaid Anna Ritchman 10.6.15Chas1 at Earls Colne aforesaid in the county aforesaid by reason of misadventure died in a certain pit there filled with liquid called a tan fat and with the liquid the same being now and since submersed and thus she came by her death and by no other than by that means to the knowledge of the jury misadventure
