Jane Machyn
then wife of
Thos Machyn
was admitted tenant of the lord for her lifetime to one croft of customary land enclosed with appurtenances late parcel of
Broadfield
containing by estimation 4a more or less the remainder thereof after her decease to
Thos Machyn
son of the said
Jane
and the heirs of the body of the said
Thos
legitimately procreated the remainder thereof to the rightful heirs of the said
Jane
and the aforesaid
Thos Machyn
was admitted at the aforesaid court to his aforesaid remainder as by a roll of the aforesaid court it is clearly shown and the aforesaid
Jane
after the said court and before this court died the aforesaid
Thos
being the son and heir of the said
Jane
after her death the aforesaid
Thos Machyn
inherited the aforesaid croft of land with appurtenances now at this court it is shown by the homage that the aforesaid
Thos Machyn
before this court died seised of such his estate without heirs of his body legitimately procreated and that
Jn Machyn
is his brother and next heir and son and heir of the said
Jane
and should have the right to the premises upon which came here into court the aforesaid
Jn Machyn
and humbly sought admittance to whom the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have the aforesaid croft with appurtenances to the aforesaid
Jn
and his heirs forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine but fealty was respited because he was under age |
