at this court a certain writing was produced in court and brought and given to the homage of this court by the contents of which it appears that Edw Rosse and Rose his wife customary tenants of this manor in right of Rose herself after the last court and before this court viz 11.7.1633 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Wm Grange instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Church and Sam Burton two customary tenants of the aforesaid manor the same testifying according to the custom of the aforesaid manor two gardens and two crofts of land containing by estimation 6a called Wrongs and 2a called Coggsgrove with appurtenances to the use and behoof of the said Rose for her lifetime and after her decease to the use of Higham Sayer esq and his heirs forever but the aforesaid surrender was not considered sufficient by the homage and by reason of the sentence or rule of the aforesaid court both examining the aforesaid rolls as is the custom and her admission it was respited saving the right of each
