and furthermore whereas at a court here held 16.4.1623 Thos Smith was admitted tenant of the lord for his lifetime to all that croft of land now divided into two with appurtenances called Spilwaters Croft the remainder thereof to Mary his daughter and now wife of Antho Baker and the heirs of the body of the said Mary legitimately procreated as by a roll of the aforesaid court it appears now at this court it is shown by the homage that the aforesaid Thos before this court died thus seised thereof upon which came the aforesaid Mary by the said Antho her attorney and sought admittance to whom the same said Mary by her said attorney and deputy the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid croft of land with appurtenances to the aforesaid Mary and the heirs of her body legitimately procreated from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and the fine was assessed by the court for her admission at 4li of legal money of England to be paid to the lord or his assigns in or upon 7.4.next at the dwelling house of the lord called Colne Priory and fealty was respited
