whereas at a court here held 27.12.1639 Thos Wade was admitted for himself and his heirs to one cottage and 5a of land more or less late parcel of Burton held of the lord of the aforesaid manor by fealty suit of court and the rent of 2s1h per annum and whereas at a court here held 29.12.1640 Wm Brewer was admitted for himself and his heirs by the surrender of the said Thos to one piece or parcel of land parcel of the said 5a of land containing by estimation 1a1r of land and whereas at a court here held 28.12.1641 the aforesaid Wm Brewer was admitted for himself and his heirs to another parcel of the said 5a of land containing by estimation 2a2r by the surrender of the said Thos as by a roll of the aforesaid court it appears now at this court it was shown by the homage that the aforesaid Thos Wade after the la st court viz 1.2.1642 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Jn Reade instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Brewer and Mich Heyward two customary tenants of the aforesaid manor the aforesaid cottage and 1a1r of land more or less adjoining the aforesaid cottage with appurtenances being all the remainder of the said 5a of land to the use and behoof of the said Wm Brewer his heirs and assigns forever who present in court humbly sought admittance to whom the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid cottage and other premises with appurtenances to the aforesaid Wm Brewer his heirs and assigns forever from the lord at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord for a fine etc and afterwards in the same court and with the court sitting came the aforesaid Wm Brewer and for the resumption of tenure of the aforesaid cottage and 5a of land more or less into one copy of court roll and for the ancient rents as they were established from antiquity by the agreement of the lord he surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the aforesaid steward the aforesaid cottage and all and singular the said parcels of land with appurtenances to which he was admitted by separate surrenders of the said Thos as shown above to the use and behoof of Wm Brewer himself his heirs and assigns forever and he humbly sought admittance to all and singular the premises with appurtenances to whom the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid cottage and 5a of land more or less to the aforesaid Wm Brewer his heirs and assigns from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by fealty suit of court and a rent of 2s1h per annum and all other services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord for a fine and made fealty for all the premises
