Sam Burton and Frances his wife to the remainder of a messuage after the decease of Ann Burton widow | whereas at a court here held 3.4.14Chas2 Ann Burton widow and Sam Burton were admitted tenants of the lord viz the aforesaid Ann for her lifetime and the aforesaid Sam for himself and his heirs in remainder after the decease of the said Ann to one messuage or tenement and garden with appurtenances late of Wm Waite now to this court came the aforesaid Sam the aforesaid Ann at this time being in full health and by the rod surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of his aforesaid steward the aforesaid messuage or tenement and garden with appurtenances and all his remainder estate and demand in the premises to the use of Sam himself and Frances now his wife and the heirs of the body of the said Sam upon the body of the said Frances legitimately procreated and in default of such issue to the use and behoof of the heirs and assigns of the said Sam forever and upon this the aforesaid Sam and Frances humbly sought admittance as tenants of the premises to whom the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid messuage and garden with appurtenances to the aforesaid Sam and Frances and the heirs of the body of the said Sam on the body of the said Frances legitimately procreated the remainder thereof to the rightful heirs of the said Sam from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed when the remainder thereof should occur into his possession and they gave to the lord for their fines and thus they were admitted thereof tenants |
