at a view and court held 1.4.1606 Thos Wade was admitted tenant for life the remainder after his decease to Robt Parker junior and Eliz his wife for their lives and the remainder to the heirs of the said Robt forever to half of three crofts of land and meadow containing 7a3r after the surrender of Hugh Johnson called Bowerfield on which half a messuage is built as shown by the rolls etc now at this court came Robt Parker and Eliz his wife and present in court asked to be admitted to the remainder etc and they gave fine 5li and after came Robt Parker and Eliz his wife and she secretly examined by the steward surrendered the remainder of all their interest to the use of Edw Browne of Colne Engaine and his heirs and assigns forever on condition that the said Edw to pay to Robt Parker 40li at michaelmas next in the porch of the parish church of Earls Colne otherwise the surrender will be void
