whereas at a court here held 12.7.1664 Mary wife of Jas Pryor was admitted to her and her heirs to one messuage or tenement with garden and part of a well and appurtenances situate upon Colne Green now at this court it was presented by the homage that the said Jas Pryor and Mary his wife 4.4.24Chas2 came before the steward and the said Mary first solely and secretly examined by the steward and consenting surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the steward the said messuage etc in the several occupations of Wm Fossett Jn Fell and Mary Biford widow to the use of the person of persons named or to be named by the said Jas before or at the next general court baron for the manor aforesaid by a writing under his hand and seal etc and for defect to the use of the said Jas Pryor his heirs and assigns forever and because no such limitations in the foresaid form have been made therefore into this court came the said Jas Pryor and humbly petitioned admittance etc to whom the steward delivered seisin to have and to hold the said messuage etc to the said Jas Pryor his heirs and assigns of the lord and he gave the lord for fine etc
