at a court held 10.6.1707 Jn King was admitted to him and his heirs to all that part of a messuage called Le Swinesty then in occupation of Rich Mott now at this court it appears etc that said Jn 4.4.last past surrendered by rod into hand of lord by hand of Gilb Smith in place of the bailiff in presence of Hen Adams and Jn Pratt two customary tenants all his customary lands and tenements held of this manor to use of his last will it also appears etc that said Jn late died seised and that Nath King is his son and heir and thereupon came here into court Nath King with Martha King his mother in role of attorney or deputy and produced here in court last will of Jn dated 4.4.1710 in following english words first I give unto my only child Nath King the house where I now live and the house where Roger Root now liveth and my desire is my loving wife shall receive the rents and profits of them for the better bringing him up until he shall attain his age of one and twenty years and if it should happen that he should not live to come to that age and my will is that my wife shall enjoy the rents and profits of them so long as she lives except she marries again which if it should so be happen then my will is that Jn Cranfeild shall have my house where Roger Root lives as in the will plainly appears etc humbly petition etc admitted to the premises with appurtenances according to the tenor and effect of the said will and gives lord fine
