at this court appears to homage that Ralph Josselin a customary tenant of this manor 20.9.1717 surrendered into hand of lord by rod by hand of Solomon Grimston gentleman in place of the bailiff in presence of Hen Adams and Jn Pratt two customary tenants etc all that close or parcel of land called Stoneleye late Fletcher's in tenure of Wm Paretree (may be Wm Paretree) held of this manor by copy of court roll to use of Math Newman of Earls Colne yeoman his heirs and assigns after which comes here into court Math Newman and humbly petitions etc admitted to premises and is admitted tenant thereof
