fine 10s it is found by the homage that Thos Polly out of the court and since the last court surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Robt Peerson in the presence of Adam Polley and Lewice Jegon the lord's tenants the same witnessing one garden parcel of one tenement called Jakes lying between the tenement late Hen Pullen's called Campions and the foresaid tenement called Jakes as by the meets and bounds etc to the use and behoof of Barth Churche his heirs and assigns on condition following viz that if the foresaid Thos Polley his heirs executors or administrators pay or cause to be paid or one of them pay or cause to be paid to the foresaid Barth Churche his executors or administrators at the now dwelling house of the said Barth being in Colne aforesaid 4li of good and lawful money of England at annunciation.1571 and if the aforesaid Thos his heirs or executors or any of them shall sustain and maintain all and all manner of reparations to the said garden belonging during the term aforesaid and also if the foresaid Thos Polley his heirs or assigns pay or cause to be paid all and all manner of rents to the lord due and of right accustomed during the term aforesaid that then this present surrender shall be void and of no force in the law which Barth being present in the court came and prayed to be admitted to the premises according to the surrender aforesaid to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the rents and services therefore due and of right accustomed and giveth fine etc and made fealty and is admitted the lord's tenant
