it is found by the homage that Robt Pudney out of the court and since the last court surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Robt Reade the bailiff in the presence of Humph Brocke and Jn Goulde the lord's customary tenants and other the same witnessing one customary cottage or tenement with appurtenances late builded upon the lord's waste which said waste containeth 20p of land lying near Colne Park viz between the highway there on the one side toward the east and the said park toward the west both heads thereof abutting upon the said highway there to the use and behoof of Roger Harlakenden esq lord of the manor aforesaid which said Roger Harlakenden in this present court by his steward granted seisin thereof to Robt Crowe to have and to hold to the said Robt and his assigns during the whole term of the natural life of the said Robt of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor and by the rents and services therefore before due and of right accustomed and his fine is remitted and he made fealty and is admitted the lord's tenant
