Wm Mace who married Margt that was the wife of Edm Clerke came here in his proper person and showed to this court five copies made out of the court rolls of this manor of the 19Eliz1 17Eliz1 15Eliz1 13Eliz1 and 10Eliz1 by which he claimeth to hold of the lord in the right of the said Margt for term of her life one croft of customary land called Olyverscroft containing by estimation 2a be it more or less the remainder thereof after the death of the said Margt to Jn Clerke the son of the said Edm and the heirs of the body of the said Jn lawfully begotten the remainder thereof for default of such issue to Alice Clarke the daughter of the said Edm and hereupon the same Margt was admitted the said croft of land lately was of Jn Archer before of Thos Sansom before of Robt Reade before of Thos Spycer and before of Roger Spicer by fealty suit of court and rent of by the year
