fine 20swhereas at the leet with the court here holden on saturday viz 9.6.35Eliz1 Barth Marche was admitted the lord's tenant to him and his heirs by the surrender of Thos Marche to a cottage with a garden adjoining called Frances as by copy of a roll of the same court shown here in court appeareth now it is found by the homage aforesaid that since the last court and before this court the foresaid Barth Marche did surrender the foresaid cottage with garden adjoining with appurtenances into the lord's hands by the hands of Edw Reade instead of the bailiff in the presence of Robt Reade and Edw Clemens two customary tenants of this manor the same witnessing according to the custom of the manor aforesaid to the use and behoof of Roger Marche and his heirs forever to which Roger here present in court the lord by his steward aforesaid granted seisin thereof to have and to hold to him and his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the customs of the manor aforesaid by the rents services and customs therefore due and of right accustomed and he made fine and fealty and was admitted the lord's tenant
